Modern Landmark Development near Reading

SoluForm completed work for a customer on a modern landmark development near Reading, Berkshire.

What was the challenge?

As part of a 340,000sq ft. landmark development, SoluForm were asked to provide our above water concrete filled bags, for a number of retaining walls. 

As this was a brand new, purpose-built project, a product was required that was both long lasting and flexible but would also allow natural growth in time to blend into the surroundings.

As this was a fast paced project, with tight deadlines a product that was easy to handle and install was also a key requirement.

What was the solution?

SoluForm’s above water 32N bagwork with water soluble liners were exactly what was needed.

The high strength structural mix is designed to form a longer lasting, durable concrete block once set, but while being installed is malleable, allowing the product to be neatly installed and levelled. 

Our bags only weigh 20kg each, so they can be handled by a single person, and easily transported to the project worksite for installation.

What was the outcome for the client?

The project deadlines were adhered too avoiding costly delays.

The modular size of the bagwork allowed for a stretcher course pattern that could be installed with precision and ease. It allowed the installation of a visually aesthetic near vertical wall either side of a gulley to manage surface water from the large site
